Dua is a wonderful female dog: affectionate, friendly and good-natured. She always seeks out people's company, gets along with all other dogs and walks very well on a lead.

Dua is a spayed mixed-breed female, born on 1 January 2019. She is 68 cm tall and weighs approx. 32 kg; she is still a little thin. She has tested negative for Mediterranean diseases.

Dua was found by a family who took her home, hoping that an owner would come forward. Neighbours told them, however, that she had already been living in the town for three to four months, and her teats suggested that she had had puppies. The family had to return home and could not take her with them, so Dua came to the shelter on 10 January 2026.

Two hours after arriving at the shelter, she escaped over two fences more than two metres high. Luckily she was found again straight away, still close to the shelter. Now the staff are trying to build a bond with her. She is allowed out with the pack, but only when someone is with her. She no longer seems to want to run away, as she follows the shelter staff, but they are still a little unsure.

Dua is a wonderful dog, affectionate, friendly and good-natured, and always seeks out people's company. She has become calmer and happy. On the grounds she is active, indoors very calm. She gets along with all other dogs and wants to play with them, just not at mealtimes; she is fed separately. She walks very well on a lead and travels well in the car. She has not yet been tested with cats.

Dua doesn't need much, she is a calm dog: walks, a warm bed and plenty of contact with people. She should not be left alone in the garden, as she might try to escape until she has truly settled in and has at least one person she is attached to.
