Lilly

Lilly originally comes from Romania and is approx. 4 years old (as of 10/2026). At approx. 40–45 cm at the shoulder and 14–15 kg, she is one of the smaller dogs. With her pretty face and alert eyes, she charms everyone straight away.

Lilly lives in a foster home in Bad Dürkheim. She had already been adopted, but came back and is now waiting for her people once again. Sadly, she probably never really got the chance in her life to learn to trust people completely. That is why some things are still hard for her today.

Lilly is not a dog who jumps straight into your arms. She is a cautious and sensitive little lady who needs time. She is clearly more open towards women: she is happy when her caregiver comes home, and she will even let herself be stroked briefly on the neck. With men she is still very insecure and tends to keep out of their way.

Even so, inside Lilly is a very sweet, lovely girl. She seeks contact and wants to belong, but she cannot yet bring herself to overcome her fears. Physical closeness and being touched are still difficult for her, which is why she currently does not let anyone put a harness on her.

On the whole, Lilly is house-trained, and she lives peacefully with other dogs. Whether there are already dogs in the home or not is probably not decisive. Far more important are people with patience, understanding and time who show her that she can finally settle in.

Lilly is not looking for perfect people. She is looking for people with heart who see what a wonderful little being is hiding behind her insecurity, and who are ready to show her the world step by step.
