Lola is simply a treasure: completely sociable with all other dogs, yet she keeps to herself. Despite a mild ataxia, she walks, runs and climbs stairs without any problems. Whoever adopts Lola gets a very special dog and a fighter.

Lola is a spayed mixed-breed female, born on 1 January 2020 and 55 cm tall. She arrived at the shelter on 8 November 2023.

Unfortunately, Lola has tested positive for leishmaniasis, and because of the leishmaniasis she has polyneuritis, which means a mild ataxia. She wobbles a little when she walks and drifts slightly to the left, but she copes well with it. She walks, runs and climbs stairs without any problems.

At her previous shelter she would have had no chance of proper treatment and would have been put to sleep. That is why she was taken out of there and her treatment began. The ataxia has been stopped. Lola receives allopurinol and a vitamin cocktail to build her up. A special analysis to check whether the ataxia has another cause came back negative on every point. Unfortunately, she recently also had to have a benign tumour removed, but everything went well.

Lola is simply a treasure, completely sociable with all other dogs, yet she keeps to herself. Sometimes her whole body wiggles because she is so happy now. She walks well on a lead. Unfortunately, she is not good with cats.

The family who adopts Lola will get a very special dog and a fighter.
