Manolo

Manolo is a neutered mixed-breed male, born approx. 1 January 2019 and 53 cm tall. He arrived at the shelter on 8 July 2026.

Manolo was found in the middle of town during a heatwave with temperatures over 40 degrees. He was lying on a tile and was at risk of heatstroke. He was covered in ticks. Several iron snap hooks were hanging from his collar, and his coat was full of knots. Manolo received treatment and has fortunately recovered.

Manolo has tested negative for the Mediterranean diseases but has osteoarthritis. He receives a dietary supplement and is more active than when he arrived. Because of his osteoarthritis, he does not like being touched or picked up, and then he will also snap. This will settle once he has really gained trust.

Manolo lives wonderfully alongside the other dogs. He is a lovable older gentleman who doesn't ask for much: a soft bed, shorter walks and his people make him happy. He lives in the caravan and behaves superbly there. He has not yet been tested with cats.
