Marisol is a treasure, like a grandma: easy to please, friendly, affectionate and sociable. Her favourite place is the sofa. She walks very well on a lead and is sweet with everyone, big or small. Who will give her a home for her twilight years?

Marisol is a spayed mixed-breed female, born approx. 23 October 2017, approx. 58 cm tall and weighing approx. 23 kg. She arrived at the shelter on 24 October 2025.

For many months, Marisol found refuge on a farm in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but lettuce fields all around. Workers brought her food and let her stay there by the machines. When the shelter was there looking for another dog, Marisol was found and taken to the shelter as well.

Marisol is a treasure, like a grandma: easy to please, friendly, affectionate and sociable. Her favourite place is the sofa, and food is her passion. She is no longer possessive about food.

She is slowly getting used to the other dogs, gets along with all of them and already spends almost the whole day with them, but she wants her peace and quiet. She also plays with some dogs. She would be ideal with other calm dogs or as an only dog. She does not need other dogs.

Marisol walks very well on a lead, travels well in the car and is sweet with everyone, big or small. She lives in the caravan and behaves very well there.

Marisol limps slightly on one front leg. She was X-rayed, and it is age-related osteoarthritis. She now has an orthosis, which makes her feel really good, and she even jumps. At the moment she is receiving anti-inflammatory medication, and they are waiting to see how things develop. She limps slightly but moves around the large grounds without any problems. Unfortunately, one of Marisol's toes had to be amputated because she had half torn it off, but everything is healing very well.

Who will give Marisol a home for her twilight years? She should not have to die in the shelter.
